During the match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, cameras panned to a young girl seated with cross legs in the stands, supporting the Gujarat team. Her adorable expression and genuine enthusiasm instantly captured the hearts of viewers.

Meanwhile, Gill’s reaction didn’t go unnoticed. As the cameras lingered on the young fan, Gill, sitting in the dug out, flashed a cheeky smile.

Gill focuses on the remaining GT matches

While the six-run defeat versus DC wouldn’t have been the ideal outcome for Gill and his team, this reaction of his over a GT fangirl has grabbed eyeballs. The GT batting unit will be looking to bounce back stronger in their next match, which is scheduled on Sunday (April 21) against Punjab Kings (PBKS).

“This is just the halfway mark of the season for us… hopefully we win another 5-6 from the next 7 like in the last couple of years,” said Gill in the post-match presentation.
