The Toronto Maple Leafs signed defenseman Chris Tanev and extended goaltender Joseph Woll's contract on Monday.

Tanev landed a six-year, $27 million deal ($4.5 million average annual value). Woll received a three-year extension, effective for the 2025-26 season, for $11 million ($3.66 million AAV).

Tanev, 34, split the 2023-24 season with the Calgary Flames and Dallas Stars and contributed 19 points (two goals, 17 assists) and a plus-22 rating in 75 games.

The Toronto native has 190 points (33 goals, 157 assists) in 792 games with the Vancouver Canucks (2010-20), Flames (2020-24) and Stars.

Woll, who turns 26 later this month, finished 12-11-1 with a 2.94 goals-against average and .907 save percentage in 2023-24.

A third-round draft pick by Toronto in 2016, Woll is 21-13-1 with one shutout, a 2.76 GAA and a .912 save percentage over parts of three seasons with the Maple Leafs.
