Utah State star forward Great Osobor entered the transfer portal Wednesday and also plans to test the NBA draft waters, according to reports.

Osobor was the Mountain West Player of the Year in his one season with the Aggies. He played his first two seasons at Montana State before following coach Danny Sprinkle to Utah State.

But after the Aggies went 28-7 this season and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament, Sprinkle parlayed the success to become head coach at Washington. Osobor could follow Sprinkle to the Huskies, who will be joining the Big Ten next season.

Ian Martinez, Utah State's second-leading scorer, also entered the portal Wednesday and is another candidate to follow Sprinkle.

Osobor averaged 17.7 points and 9.0 rebounds for the Aggies this season and beat out San Diego State All-American Jaedon LeDee for Mountain West top player honors.

The 6-foot-8 Osobor started just three of 69 games played at Montana State before becoming a standout with Utah State.

Martinez averaged 13.3 points and 3.6 rebounds in 34 games (29 starts) this season, his first with the Aggies.

A new program would mark Martinez's fourth stop in five seasons. He played at Utah as a freshman and spent two seasons at Maryland before moving to Utah State.

The Aggies also lost starting guard Mason Falslev to the transfer portal last week. He averaged 11.3 points and 4.4 rebounds.

Utah State introduced Jerrod Calhoun as the new head coach earlier this week. Calhoun was at Youngstown State, where he went 118-106 as head coach from 2017-24.
