The Minnesota Wild acquired one defenseman and sent another away in two different trades on Wednesday.
The Wild picked up the services of Zach Bogosian from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for a seventh-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.
That deal came a few hours after Minnesota shipped Calen Addison to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for forward Adam Raska and a fifth-round pick in 2026 NHL Draft.
Bogosian, 33, has yet to notch a point in four games this season with Tampa Bay.
He has totaled 213 points (57 goals, 156 assists) and 715 penalty minutes in 787 career games with the Atlanta Thrashers/Winnipeg Jets, Buffalo Sabres, Toronto Maple Leafs and Lightning. He won the Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay in 2020.
Bogosian was selected by the Thrashers with the third overall pick of the 2008 draft.
Addison, 23, has recorded five points -- all assists -- and a minus-3 rating in 12 games this season with the Wild. He signed a one-year, $825,000 contract with the Wild on Sept. 19.
"Calen is a talented young defenseman who sees the ice well and moves the puck well," Sharks general manager Mike Grier said. "He is a very good player on the power play, and we are excited to add him to our group."
Addison has totaled 38 points (five goals, 33 assists) and a minus-24 rating in 92 career games with Minnesota.
The Pittsburgh Penguins selected Addison in the second round (No. 53 overall) in the 2018 NHL Draft. The Wild acquired him in a Feb. 10, 2020, trade along with forward Alex Galchenyuk and a first-round pick in the 2021 draft, sending forward Jason Zucker to Pittsburgh.
Raska, 22, did not record a point in eight career games with the Sharks.
